Kent was born and raised in Leesburg, Georgia and came to Valdosta in 2009 where he attended Valdosta State University.
He graduated from the Langdale College of Business in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. Kent joined Bush Wealth Management in the summer of 2012 and accepted a fulltime position as Business Development Associate upon graduation.
Kent is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor. The CRPC® is the nation's most prolific and recognized retirement planning credential. Kent also currently holds a Series 66 license as well as Life & Health Insurance. He serves on the firm’s investment management committee to create and manage portfolios as well as meet with and educate clients.
Kent’s other responsibilities at the firm include preparing financial plans, investment/risk analysis, Social Security analysis, and keeping the firm up to date with new technology and processes. He specializes in making the information interesting and engaging using his technological skills. He is also the main contact for anyone wanting to learn more about our practice.
Kent was elected to be apart of Georgia Forward's "Young Gamechangers", a program that consists of Georgia's 50 young professionals under the age of 40. He has been nominated for 2015 and 2016 "Young Professional of the Year" as well as "Georgia Leadership Class of 2016". Kent and his wife Brooke have lived in Valdosta since 2009. Outside of work he enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his friends and family. If he isn’t in the office, you can bet that he will be outside somewhere doing something active.
