Kent was born and raised in Leesburg, Georgia and came to Valdosta in 2009 where he attended Valdosta State University. He graduated from the Langdale College of Business in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance.
Kent is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor. The CRPC® is the nation’s most prolific and recognized retirement planning credential. Along with his CRPC he holds his Life & Health Insurance license. He serves on the firm’s investment management committee to create and manage portfolios as well as meet with and educate clients.
As Managing Partner and a fiduciary, Kent helps helps lead the strategic direction of the practice while working closely with clients to develop thoughtful, long-term financial plans. He is committed to maintaining the firm’s fiduciary standard and ensuring clients receive objective, transparent advice.
Kent currently serves on the Valdosta State University Investment Group Board of Directors and the Park Avenue Preschool Board, and previously served as Board Chair for United Way of South Georgia. He was also selected for Georgia Forward’s “Young Gamechangers” program, which recognizes 50 young professionals under the age of 40, and is a graduate of the Leadership Lowndes Class of 2018.
Kent and his wife Brooke have lived in Valdosta since 2009 and are members of Park Avenue Church. Outside of work he enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting, and spending time with Brooke, and their sons Levi, Luke, and Lane.
